Well done CarolThumpUp I used the site you mentioned too to complete my DLA form, but was turned down at first. However then got it when I asked for a review of the decision and in view of the fact that they had used an ESA examiners report, which is about one's ability to work and not about one's personal care or mobility needs. I had also stated that I had appealed the ESA decision and was awaiting a tribunal date. Great news though, you are one of the first people I have heard about that has not been put throw the mill!

much love,

Barbara

Thanks everyone!Smile

Barbara ........ it took me thereabouts 6 weeks to draft out my DLA claim form. They gave me 13 weeks to submit a new claim before my current award expired. I used to keep reading it and adding bits as and when I remembered things. I also typed most of it. There wasn't enough space to write all I wanted to on the actual form and I ended up enclosing 9 additional pages of type. It saved a lot of handwriiting too.

Did you read where someone else got their decision in 2 days after using that website?

Good luck with your ESA tribunal!
Carol

Hi Carol,

WOW! Guess I didn't complete the form as thoroughly as you, and will have to do better next time round. However, do believe I was initially turned down because of the ESA decision. I haven't logged on to the Benefits & Work site of late, but did read in an email that quite a few people have had successful outcomes.

much love and well wishes,

Barbara
